Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to Aqua Marina, MSpa, Vtuvia and Qiolor products supplied by Live Africa.

Live Africa warrants its products against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period applicable to the relevant product or component.

The warranty period begins on the date of the original retail purchase. Proof of purchase is required for every warranty claim.

“Original retail purchase” means that the product was purchased new from Live Africa or an authorised Live Africa retailer.

WARRANTY PERIODS AND PRODUCT-SPECIFIC COVER
Warranty periods, covered components and product-specific exclusions differ between brands and products. Customers should refer to the relevant product page, owner’s manual or brand warranty for the applicable coverage.

Where information differs, the warranty terms supplied with the specific product will apply, subject to applicable South African consumer law.

Commercial or rental use may carry a different warranty period or level of cover.

HOW TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM
Before returning a product, please contact Live Africa at info@liveafrica.co.za and provide:

  • Proof of purchase;

  • Product brand and model;

  • Serial number, where applicable;

  • A clear description of the fault; and

  • Clear photographs or videos showing the reported problem.

Live Africa may be able to identify or resolve certain issues remotely.

Depending on the nature of the claim, Live Africa may require the complete product or only the affected component to be returned for inspection.

Products must not be returned until Live Africa has confirmed what is required and provided return or collection instructions.

ASSESSMENT AND APPROVAL
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by Live Africa or an authorised service provider.
If the claim is approved, Live Africa will, at its discretion and subject to applicable consumer law:

  • Repair the defective product or component;

  • Replace the defective component;

  • Replace the product with the same or a reasonably equivalent product; or

  • Provide another appropriate remedy.

Replacement products or components may differ in colour or design where the original item is no longer available.

The warranty period of a repaired or replaced product or component remains linked to the original retail purchase date, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

No repair, replacement or reimbursement will be approved before Live Africa has assessed the claim.

TRANSPORT WITHIN SOUTH AFRICA
Where a claim is approved, Live Africa will confirm the applicable collection, delivery or return arrangements.

Products must be suitably packaged for transport. The customer may be responsible for damage caused by inadequate or unsuitable packaging.

Where a claim is found not to be covered by the warranty, the customer may be responsible for inspection, collection, delivery, repair and return transport costs. These costs will be communicated before chargeable work is undertaken.

PRODUCTS PURCHASED OR USED OUTSIDE SOUTH AFRICA

Products purchased from Live Africa or an authorised Live Africa retailer remain covered by the applicable product warranty when purchased or used outside South Africa.

All physical warranty inspections, assessments, repairs and replacements are handled within South Africa.
To process a claim, the customer must arrange for the complete product or requested component to be delivered to:

  • Live Africa’s premises in Cape Town; or

  • Another accessible location within South Africa agreed to by Live Africa in advance, from which Live Africa can arrange collection.

Live Africa does not collect warranty products from outside South Africa.

The customer is responsible for all costs, arrangements and risks associated with transporting the product or component:

  • From another country into South Africa;

  • To the agreed South African delivery or collection point; and

  • From South Africa back to the customer once the claim has been completed.

This includes international courier charges, customs duties, import or export charges, taxes, insurance and other related expenses.

Cross-border warranty support does not include international collection, delivery, installation or on-site service.

Live Africa may arrange collection from an agreed location within South Africa. This must be authorised before the product is dispatched or made available for collection.

NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS
If an inspection determines that the fault is not covered by the warranty, Live Africa will provide the customer with its findings and, where possible, an estimate for repair or replacement.

No chargeable work will be undertaken without the customer’s approval.
